Vietnam – Business Visas Are No Longer Available Upon Entry

What has changed

As of January 1, 2015, business visas are no longer available upon arrival in Vietnam.

Previously, business visas could be arranged prior to travel and then issued upon arrival.  Business travelers will now need to obtain these visas from an Embassy or Consulate General of Vietnam prior to their travel.  This change currently has no impact for tourist visa travelers.  People traveling to Vietnam for tourism will still be able to collect their visas upon arrival.

To meet the requirements for a business visa, applicants will need to show sponsorship from a company in Vietnam and provide details of their proposed activities. Processing time could take up to ten (10) business days, depending on the consular location.

Emigra Worldwide will continue to monitor developments and will provide further information regarding any further changes in this situation. If you have any questions, or if you would like more information, please contact your Emigra Worldwide representative.
