- EEA nationals who are currently residing within UK and have not yet qualified for permanent residency status
- EEA nationals who will enter the UK after the date of formal separation from the EU
What to expect
The separation process is expected to take two (2) years. An immediate impact on EEA nationals’ right to come and work in the UK during this time is unlikely, but it is not yet known what immigration requirements will apply to these migrants over the long term.
What you need to do
Employers should check their EU migrant workforce and consider applying for registration certificates for those who do not have permanent residence status.
