What has changed
Enacted on March 29, 2017 and effective immediately, Indian passport holders who have a US Green Card or US Residence Visa with a minimum validity of at least six (6) months are now eligible to obtain a United Arab Emirates (UAE) on-arrival visa, as per the decree approved the UAE cabinet. The visa is valid for a period of fourteen (14) days. Previously, Indian passport holders with a Green Card or US visa had to secure an entry/visit visa to enter the UAE.
Who is affected?
- Indian passport holders with a valid US Residence Visa
- Indian passport holders with a Green Card
What to expect
The visa can be granted at all ports and may be renewed once for an additional period of fourteen (14) days upon payment of application fees.
The minimum validity of a Green Card or US visa should be six (6) months when entering the UAE.
Applicants with a US Business Visa or a Tourist Visa are not eligible to secure an on-arrival visa.
