What has changed
Applicants of Assembly, Maintenance and Service (AMS) Visas are now able to obtain multiple entry visas based on a recent government initiative.
Previously, AMS visa holders were allowed to stay in Turkey for ninety (90) consecutive days. With the new multiple entry visas, foreigners will now be able to enter Turkey multiple times over the course of a year up to ninety (90) total cumulative days.
Who is affected?
What to expect
- All future AMS Visa applicants
AMS Visa holders can now make shorter trips over the course of a year to perform allowable technical work.
Although these regulations have taken effect in Turkey, it may take some time for the consular posts around the world to fully implement these changes.
What you need to do
- Foreign nationals may need to obtain fewer AMS visas for multiple trips as long as the total amount of time spent in Turkey is less than than ninety (90) days within a one (1) year period.
