Effective 2 October 2017, the government of Singapore has integrated the Jobs Bank website with the SkillsFuture website, creating a new, improved portal for Jobs Bank advertisements.
The new portal allows for amendments to the advertised occupation or salary, whereas previously no amendments were possible.
- All clients applying for Employment Passes in Singapore where there is a Jobs Bank advertisement requirement.
What to expect
Effective 2 October 2017, employers will be able to post and amend advertisements to the Jobs Bank through the new portal. However, it is important to note that if an employer makes any changes to the advertisement, the amended advertisement must be open for at least fourteen (14) days after the change in order to be eligible for use in an Employment Pass application. For example, if a change is made on 4 Oct 2017, the revised advertisement must be open until at least 17 Oct 2017, before being able to apply for an Employment Pass on 18 Oct 2017.
Employers are also reminded that:
- The advertisement must always be open for at least fourteen (14) days before the Employment Pass application is submitted (on the fifteenth day).
- The salary range must be shown to job seekers and cannot be hidden.
