Singapore – Foreign Nationals Now Required to Provide Personal Contact Information on Employment Pass Online Portal

What has changed

Effective immediately, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) now requires foreign nationals to provide their personal contact information on the Employment Pass Online (EPOL) portal in order to apply, receive, or renew an Employment Pass, Training Employment Pass, S Pass, Dependant’s Pass or Long Term Visit Pass. Previously, if the foreign national didn’t have a Singapore mobile number or email address, the field could be left blank at the time of application / issuance or an overseas number could be indicated. An email address and a Singapore mobile phone number is now required for renewal applications and for issuance of all new and renewed passes. If the pass holder does not have a Singapore mobile number, a company contact mobile number should be provided instead, until the pass holder obtains his / her own mobile number, at which point it should be updated on EPOL.
