Czech Republic – Visapoint Appointment System Terminated

What is changing?

Effective December 1, 2017, the Visapoint system for making appointments to file applications at Czech consulates will be terminated. Going forward, appointments will be scheduled via email.

  • Individuals travelling to the Czech Republic who will be applying for visas at the consulate

What to Expect

Going forward, individuals applying for visas and long term residence permits to the Czech Republic will have to use the email address visa_[name of consulate] in order to schedule an appointment. Each email represents one application; however, underage children may be included in the parent’s appointment email.

Requests for appointments will be accepted and processed chronologically, depending on the volume of applications at the consulate. While some consulates may only accept a limited number of applications per week, the others may add all applications to a waiting list. The appointment dates provided by the consulate are final and unchangeable, and availability cannot be viewed online in advance of booking the appointment. Applicants will receive an appointment date only if their emails contain all the necessary requirements. Certain consulates may require the application to include an alphanumeric code in the subject of the email request. These codes may be provided by the relevant consulate and may change regularly. If an applicant cancels or is unable to attend his/her appointment, a new appointment must be arranged by email per the above mentioned procedure.
